Do you ever get the feeling that most pre-workout supplements are the same? Well they kind of are, at this point in time. Sure there are exceptions (Driven Sports Craze for example) but for the most part, the ingredients don't differ much from one pre-workout to the next.
Gaspari has decided to break away from the herd, by coming out with 2 new ingredients for SuperDrive... mitoDRIVE and GLYCOSPAN.
Before you waste your time reading all this, I want to get one thing out of the way first. If you don't like caffeine, STAY AWAY FROM SUPERDRIVE! While Gaspari doesn't disclose how much caffeine is in each scoop, it's rumored that there is 250mg in each scoop... that's about 2.5 cups of coffee! So already you know this is a good pre-workout for you if you like caffeine.
2.5g mitoDRIVE (Ornithine Malate)
Gaspari says this new ingredient is very expensive to make, but it supports endurance, power, and recovery, and enhances nitric oxide.
1g GLYCOSPAN (Microencapsulated Triacetin 25%)
The other new ingredient, GLYCOSPAN, combines Glycerol (for volumization) and acetic acid (for lactic acid buffering) in microencapsulated form.
1g Carnitine Tartrate (Carnipure)
Increases energy and brain function
N-Acetyl L Tyrosine
You'll see this ingredient in a lot of cognitive (brain) supplements. It will get your mind-muscle connection going!
Another great ingredient for better brain function
This is a newer stimulant, currently only being used in a few other supplements.
Citrus Aurantium (Fruit)
This is an herbal stimulant extracted from bitter oranges. It is said to be comparable to Ephedra, so it must be pretty powerful!
So overall Gaspari Superdrive looks like an extremely strong pre-workout. Lot of stimulants, and lots of endurance/strength enhancers as well. I would definitely recommend starting with ½ scoop to assess your tolerance to all the stims.
